hmmm...you'd prolly wanna get some lightweight nice wheels. But if you're looking to get black wheels i sug. you get black with a polished lip, i think that would look really hot! Even gunmetal rims would look good. I'd rock some Volk's or go with some evo style OZ wheels (big fan) good luck in yyour search for wheels.

Im not sayin you are gonna get cheap rims, but one advice.... Dont get cheap ones.. Coz you might just down grade your evo... Well, get VOLK RAYS ENGINEERING or SOME RACING HARTS.. or O-Z!! Those will look really tight!

When I get my Silver Evo, I plan on getting some 18x8.5" Volk se37K's (I think that's the number). They're black, and look very nice. They're also around 600 a piece, so hopefully you have a hook-up to get a break on them. The off set is 30mm ( I know Vivid is running 33 offset, but they have different rims.) Hopefully either the 30mm will work, or you can get them in proper offset.

There are lots of wheels out there. It's finding ones that weigh less than the stock combo that will be fairly challanging, I'd think.

Mounting rims that are heavier than the stockers will yield a very noticeable performance loss....and that loss will be greater amplified if you upsize AND buy heavier rims.

I know where to look but not what to look for. What brands have the lightest rims in black?

Thumbs up

I'd go with something like these Volk SE37's in black.

These are 17x8.5, but I'd go with 18x8.5 just to minimize sidewall and improve handling. I wonder if these volks in18x8.5 are lighter than the stock Enkei 17x8's though, they probably are. I do agree that black centers with a polished silver lip on the wheel looks the best. I haven't found alot like that though.

I'll be getting Volk or BBS for my evo. Nice deepdish maybe with like a 3" lip.

I'm with you there on your color scheme. If I went with a silver EVO(silver anything AMAF) I'd definitely go for the gunmetal wheel. A black wheel will look real tough too. Check out the latest SCC mag with the Silver WRX on the cover with the gunmetal wheels. I didn't commit to memory what brand type wheels they were, but they were definitely HOT!! If you don't have access to the mag in Athens there, I can borrow my buds mag and scan the thing for you. Just let me know.
