'03, 45k miles, stock clutch, no tranny problems or xfer whine. Didn't bother to change the driveline fluids until 35k miles, everythings been fine.

The wing and the Brembos didn't start going until around 40k miles, I live in Florida and the car has never been parked in a garage, lots of UV rays on the wing.

my 03 has 29k miles on it. the stock clutch is starting to go out. no problem with the wing or the brakes but the car is garage keeped. no problem with the tranny or synchro. the nice thing about 03 is that they all come with HID and sun roof.

Well what about the problems repair costs, parts and labor for those who have needed a TC, gear grinding fix, rebuild transmission, new transmission etc etc. That's what I was getting at, so I can see if these problems are really even that costly, I don't mind fixing them if they happen but as long as it's not continuous. Are these one time fixes?I won't be heavily modding, probobly a Buschur S1 or S2 and that's it.

I have an '03. No real problems mechanically, but I have peeling calipers and fading wing (both being replaced under warranty!) There was a similar thread to this about so-called "first year bugs" on the '03, but I have seen nothing of the sort minus the paint issues. Just keep up with the fluids and don't be stupid.

My 03 has 35,000 miles on it and all I have had to do is replace the tires and change fluids. Stock clutch, brakes, never been to the dealer other than the fan motor recall. No fading or peeling on the brakes or wing. Never had any transmission gring either.

If you race your car, you will need to replace things quicker and you might break stuff but I only bought my car to have as a fast daily driver not for a track car.

My '03 had serious tranny issues, with grinding in 3rd, 4th, and 5th and lockouts in 2nd during hard acceleration. Dealer replaced all synchros and this resolved the issue. It was all covered under warranty. I have an ACT clutch in, as the stock one gave out while I was at the track (Full lap not 1/4). No fading on the wing, but I keep the car garaged.

I had an 03 evo. The clutch would chatter quite a bit since about 5k miles. It started slipping a little around 10k Miles. Mods were TBE and Xede.

I would have very rare grinding on 2nd gear, but only driving in the upper RPMs.

03, 50k+ miles. stock clutch, change fluids regularly, no mechanical issues whatsoever.

as far as cosmetics go, it's my daily driver, and stuff happens (rock chips, etc.)

the wing was replaced under warranty (fading) and i immediately removed it and put an rs trunk on.

as said above, if you take care of it, it'll take care of you.

My transmission and transfer case are getting rebuilt by TRE right now. AFAIK the early '03 transmissions have quite a list of issues. Mine started grinding at the road course, hence the rebuild. Other problems: a blown A/C hose and a faulty seatbelt sensor.

That is also what I've heard about early '03s. Is there anythign definite as far as if anything changed, and if they did, when?
