pcv valve

pcv valve

i have an o3 evo and the pcv valve wont stay in the motor it's always coming and it's very loose i went to mitsubishi and replaced the pcv valve and the same thing happen's. car runs great but when it comes out it stalls and the idle is eratic. any ideas?

Is it the valve itself that's loose or the metal tube it screws in to?

There's a collar on the valve cover side of that elbow. If both pieces (elbow and collar) have been replaced and you're still having the problem, you may want to ask for a new valve cover.

i did not change the collar thats on the valvecover but i have a new one, how do you get it out of the valve cover to chage it?

That's a new one for me too I'll play around with one of the broken covers we have at the shop get back with you.
