stock evo sounds crappy.......i went back to stock and i regret it so far...it willb worth it when my buschur stage one comes by....

 

well, I hate to say it the STI does sound better than the evo, not to talk trash about our rides but our evo's sound bad *** w/ exhaust, but a turbo back equipt sti sounds awesome. they look really similiar to the evo, so i guess we drive shoe boxes too but instead of a scoop we have a vent on our shoebox.

 

i hate the sound of the subaru's boxer engine - sounds like a motorboat and the rumbling gets annoying fast.. personally i think evos sound more aggressive.

What sound? Stock EVO has no sound. I hardly hear anything driving my stock MR, only road noise. :-)

And the STi sounds like a bully or wanna-be hot rod.

 

I think the Evo sounds much better than the STi. The STI sounds like something is wrong with it, it gurgles and such.


Why is the evo better sounding in my opinion? You just gotta love the noise of that turbo spooled up

 

i agree the hisssss of the turbo just sounds plain badass. And yes, the STI sounds like a boat engine, gurgling and such.

 

That's one thing I wish the Evo had, the Subaru boxer note.

 

You are correct . When my brother put headers on his wrx (w/turboback), it made the car sound toyish. Kind of like a similar sound but much wimpier.So much less aggressive than with the stock headers. As for the STi Sounding nicer and more aggressive, come on guys they do. I downright love the evo, but got to give that one to the STi. They sound better to me than and much more aggressive than an evo does.

 

subaru? ..............well anyway, the stock exhaust db is 92 and remains 92 throughout the rpm. and why subaru? i mean, dont get me wrong, a STi or a WRX are great machines but they sound like 10 grumpy men waking up in the morning...i dont like their exhaust tone
