I have 34,500 on my 04. Only owner, stock clutch now used as a commuter about 60 mi a day. No problems whatsoever so far

+1 on the timing belt and the balance shaft belt. The timing belts on my previous Mitsus failed before the 60,000 mile mark

update , dont know if i commented on this thread before but as of last night, i hit 19,000 miles i know its not alot but the car still feels great and everthing

Oops. Im a huge hypocite. I have 67k and still havent done it yet. However, its being done next weekend, I was waitin on my J.A.M non tick lifter!

Here in California the timing belt can wait until 90,000 miles (according to the owner's manual). Maybe I'll split the difference and do it at 75,000. While I'm at it I'll also replace the water pump and thermostat.

my DSM went around 80K before the timing belt snapped, and destroyed everything..

back on topic, my car just turned 23K, i bought it last march w/14,500
