Couple of questions about zeitronix:

1.Does the LCD records/datalog the features in it(egt,boost,a/f etc...) thru the whole RPM range?or,would you still need a laptop?

2.Would it work with aftermarket gauges or do I need to get rid of those?(no point on having 2 of the same gauges )

Thanks

The LCD has a 'peak hold' which only just records the peak from the last time the car was started. When you re-start the car it's cleared. This is the only "data logging" it does when it's not connected to a laptop. It will show peak boost, highest EGT, lambda, and leanest AFR. When you connect your laptop to the Zeitronix- you can datalog till your hard drive fills up... so.. for quite a while. The live data on the Zeitronix screen is displayed the entire time you are operating the car minus a 30 second o2 sensor warm up at start up. It's very easy to see and read. Oh, and if you don't like Farenheit EGTs, you can change it to display in Celcius.. and same for Boost- PSI/inHg or BAR/mmHg

I guess you could have your aftermarket gauges as well... but I don't see the point. If you want to see Boost and EGT values on the Zeitronix unit, you must buy the Zeitronix Boost sensor (Kavlico- same as AEM 3.5 Bar unit) and to view EGTs: a K-Type thermocouple which is also sold by Zeitronix. You cannot use, say, a Defi boost gauge/egt probe on the Zeitronix. I used to have a Defi boost gauge and got rid of it when I bought my Zeitronix unit.

I am using the LM-1 Innovate and it is driving me NUTS. I keep getting spikes in the AFR. At first I thought it is the tune on the EVO and the additional boost that is causing the spikes due to a "blown" spark. But I checked previous logs and it was happening even before the car was tuned. Then I checked logs that I did on my brother's Sentra Spec V and sure enough there were sessions with spikes.

I changed and regapped the plugs on the EVO and turned the boost down 1-2 psi and I still get those dammned spikes. The car runs very strong and I cannot feel any misfires.

I am at the end of my patience with this crap. I contacted innovate and even posted on their forums http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/f...ead.php?t=3230

I have even moved the sensor to just before the cat thinking that this will help.

I have no resolution to this. I am begining to doubt that its is the car and suspect that the LM-1 is just too damned sensitive.

Anyone else is having this problem with thier LM-1?
