R there any Real Buyers

It is with great interest I read all the carping about markup. I recently posted the availability of 2 EVO's in So Cal for MSRP and got no response. Cars are still available, yet the whining goes on. Perhaps all the people that are complaining really haven't got the horsepower to buy a car at any figure. 1 red 1 yellow both with Sunroof............R there any real buyers out there?????

There are buyers and wishers, apparently you are a buyer! Enjoy, it just makes me want to call the bluff of the complainers.
Have a great day

I agree, I think most of us already had our deals worked out for some time and now actually have them. Still suprised there aren't a few showing interest.

If you had a silver sunroof, I might buy it tmw...but gotta be a few bucks under MSRP... as you say, where are all the buyers? exactly... the cars are sitting. I don't pay MSRP for cars that aren't moving!. Especially with a new STI at $30,995.... But, I am tired of waiting for my silver (have a deposit down)... May 1st seems like an eternity.

So, if you have a silver sunroof, with the silver pedals(installed), the extra gauges (installed), and want to give it to me for $32.5k out the door (incl tax , lic, and all the goodies), I could possibly be down this weekend to buy it. But I need a deal, cuz I got my $1k tied up with my local dealer and its a long drive to southern california... but if you are desperate to sell.....

Yeah, most people have made their deals and either have their car or are waiting for delivery... spending $30k +, we are gonna get the color we want... not just whatever is on the floor. I know of another dealer with a red and yellow sitiing, sitting, sitting, and another with blue and a white sitting sitting sitting (or so they say). You are not alone.

Seems to be hard to find silver at MSRP... must be real popular or something!

or there are the patient people waiting for dealerships to get off their high-horse and realize that the Evolution is just another car. I won't be buying my EVO here in texas until I'm looking at Invoice or below. Then I will talk terms. I hope those SoCal Evo's have fun sitting collecting dust and ruining clear coat with the high pressure washers most dealerships used. I've never bought a new car at MSRP and the evo isn't changing that.

Exactly... they have these big markups and think MSRP is a deal... hahaha no thanks... I'll wait till yer invoice level, that's a deal, not MSRP.

6500 cars for the Year Under Invoice They will make beautiful planters Enjoy your Vegas and Pintos, under invoice will never happen. Most of the posts I see are from people who can't afford the mats, much less the car.For those that suggest someone should sell something without making a profit, go to work tomorrow and ask for a pay cut LOL No I do not sell cars, but I drive an EVO.

man bevo you are just making all those rumours about car salesman true! Even at INVOICE the dealership/salesman still makes money on the sale its all built into the price as a bargaining token for the salespeople. Don't play like you aren't even making money on invoice, how about the dealer incentives? monthly bonuses? Its funny how you are trying to pawn off these cars @ MSRP thinking its a deal when in fact dealerships are riding the impulse buy wave. Same thing happened with the WRX, the 350Z, and is also currently happening with the NEON SRT-4. This car is no different from any other sport compact car that has come out in the past 2 years. Can't wait for those famed Mitsu recalls. Mitsu won't address crankwalk in 2g 4g63 shortblocks, I wonder what will spring up in the new Evo 8 ? Transmission? Transfer case? Whats first to go? Just some things to think about is all.

Wrong. A dealership who is strictly volume and pays his salespeople salaries may operate this way, but even those guys do things to increase their margin. Dealers where salespeople live strictly off commisions wouldn't survive selling every car at invoice. Imagine making 50-$100 bucks for selling a thirty thousand auto.

Evos below invoice, indeed.
