Lowered Stock Seat Rails...

This was a subject brought up a while ago... and I'm bringing it up again to find out if anything new has come about.

For those who race, or for those tall people, you'll find that the stock seat height is just a little too tall. If it is dropped a small 1", it makes it infinitely better.

HKS Kanasi makes a set, but like all Kanasi stuff, it's terribly expensive:

There was also a mention of someone who did the modifications, but I can no longer get in contact with him.

Has anyone messed around with this, or found a less expensive, more reliable option?

I'd give Mike @ Sublime a call and tell him what you need.

Fireball.... you dont give me a chance do you? Imported stuff is a pain to get and is even more of a pain to get any info on. My guy is still waiting on word about 3 different kinds of seat brackets. I will let you guys know once I find out.

Let me know who all is interested. I have the information that I need. I just got it. Shoot me a PM if you are interested. I will see what I can do to get a group buy going if you guys are interested. I would have to get at least 20 pairs sold in order for it to be a group buy. There will be a 4-6 week minimum wait as they are imported. There would also have to be at least a 50% deposit made upfront that is non-refundable.

Let me know who would like to go through with this.

i have thought about making new seat brackets. Ones that would replace the stock ones about 1" lower in the front and alittle more in the back. I think i could make them high quality water jet cut and bent and quick, in days, after the first set is made. I could sell them for like 200 for the set to do both front seats the only reason i havent is that this is a safety part and scared to get sued if someone would get hurt in a accident, even though mine would be stronger than stock.
