Ready to buy new IX, can't find one locally...
Ok, I am ready to buy a new IX, no SSL, either red or GG. I am in east TN and have had no luck finding one at less than $5k over list in my area. I would like to pay $500 over dlr cost, which may be a fantasy for anywhere but CA. Can anyone find a dealer within 500 miles of me that has a red or GG IX with no SSL that will sell discounted?
PS: Don't say "have a local dlr order one". They want outrageous markups in this area. I will push one back 2000 miles from CA before I pay $5k over list
TIA.

Took me two months to buy my first evo.. about a month and a half to buy my second one. I got hella good deals on both.
Go to any dealership with an evo and start showing serious intrest and start talking price.. do this with a few dealerships and get down to where you want your price. THAN get the color you want. The dealership will go and get you what you want if they know they've made a sale.
my 2cents..

Even though the shipper that Mark uses (DAS) is next to useless (my experience only, others have been very happy) you can still have your car in a few weeks for $28,999 plus shipping, which would be right around invoice net/net.
When I went to KBB.com it showed $1000 customer cash which expires on 6-30-06. Edmunds.com revealed that the $1000 is $500 loyalty, and $500 education. Not sure if this helps with your local dealer, or is applicable to your region, or even to you, but it's there FWIW!

just like the others who mentioned soutch coast mitsu...speak to mark. i flew down from san francisco and drove my evo back up. can't say i had any experience with shipping, but i'm sure mark can help you with that. my overall experience with mark and south coast was excellent! shameless plug for south coast.
Seriously, just buy from South Coast and have it delivered. Save yourself the hassle of haggling and searching countless dealerships. Plus South Coast can get you just about any color/package you want, not to mention their great deals (some of the lowest you'll find).
Try this guy. Joe Toledo 772-215-9711
He will easily do that deal and they are in Florida. Very nice poeple to deal with. Tell them evo Brian sent you and they will treat you right. Good luck on your search...

Thanks to all for the "give in to reality and go to south coast" advice. I will be calling Mark there soon.
