A/C button no longer works
I recently changed my head unit and now my A/C will not work... The A/C light does not come on and the A/C does not work in the MAX position... I was very careful in taking things apart... I guess I could have messed something up, but can't see it... Anyone else experience this?
If I have to replace the HVAC controls, anyone know the costs? Ideas?

check fuses and make sure you didnt accidently knock out the plug benind that switch. The first time i did a headunit in my old lancer i ripped the whole dash apart because i didnt know how it all came together. Now after doing the same thing like 10 times between my old lancer and evos i know it only takes two screws and voila the right piece comes off. I say this because the first time i did it i took it all apart and forgot to plug something back in when putting it together. something didnt work right and i had to take it all apart again.
All i can say is THANK THE LORD that our dashes are 10000000000x times easier to work with than a civic's. I did a headunit in my friend's car and that alone was like 3 hours of work. i HATE civics.

Thanks for the advice.
Not sure why I would not have thought to take a look at the fuses!
I started looking at the work involved in doing a swap with the Gallant or Eclipse as I have been reading all about the relocations and HVAC swaps (an excuse to go down that path and try the JDM auto climate impossibility)... Still think this has to be possible to workout...
I started thinking too complex and forgot the simple stuff...
Fuse would be cool!
I will take a look and report back.

So, I have checked the fuses under the hood and they are all fine...
I also moved the relays around with no luck. I guess I did not jump to conclusions after all.
Ideas? Anyone know the part number and cost of the HVAC controls? I will go to the dealer and see what I can find.

A lil cheaper then HVAC unit I am sure. Hopefully that helps you some, cuz I know mitsu is gonna bend u over backward for one. OH hey wait just thought of this, make sure your black plastic AC button is lined up right in the panel and it makes contact with the little switch on the circuit board too.
theres gotta be a loose wire of some connection that got nocked off, you jsut gotta find it, i have taken my interior apart SOOOOOOOO many time for mods, removing replacing, upgrading...etc, just get in there with a mini mag light flashlight and take your time...
