After working on the car.............
Make sure you go over ALL the I/C pipes and clamps twice to see if you missed any.
I just got done putting the Evo back together, got all the bolts back, all the clips, and made sure all the tools were accounted for. I usually do this just to make sure nothing is where it's not supposed to be.
Re-installed my ECU. (Got a nice flash from Al @ Dynoflash) and went for a little run. Holy hell the thing is fast. Picks up real quick, and just wants to move. PLaying around a little, in and out of boost, but in town so nothing crazy. Then all of a sudden, BOOM! and no power. Car chugs, stalls. Start it up again to get it off the road. Running real bad. ****, what happend?
Get out, look under the car, nothing wrong there. Open the hood, look around. Freakin upper I/C pipe to the TB blew off. And me with no screwdriver or anything. (Stupid). I manage to press the hose back on, and get her home under very light throttle. I knew I got that one, but must not have been tight enough. Gotta throw a T-Bolt clamp on there so I have no more problems.
Anyway, check all your connections twice, and for the first run, bring some tools with you just in case

I had that problem alot in the srt. Damn throttle body coupler kept popping off. T-Bolt clamps owned that thing hard. Scared the crap out of me when it happened the first time though. I thought for sure I had blown my motor
Yeah, my heart jumped when it blew off. Then it sank when the car chugged a bit and stalled.
I was like, "You gotta be kidding me!"
Needless to say I was quite happy to only see the I/C pipe not connected.
Now I just have to change my boxers.

Yeah, that sudden "POP" can make you break an immediate sweat. I just swapped out about 8 hose clamps for t-bolt clamps last weekend

hehehe sounds like me when i first put in my mbc a while back...so it's 5am, with only a few hours of sleep after putting in my mbc...warmed her up made some pulls then -- boom! low throttle response and car starts bogging down in a main street! got the attention of a policeman who escorted me to the closest shoulder then had to to baby her back to the garage a few miles down...sucked - yeah after mods don't leave home w/o the toolbox...
