Education Edge $500 incentive
Education Edge $500 incentive
I was browsing the Evo incentives on Edmunds.com and found this:
$500 Cash to Customer start: 04/04/2006 end: 06/30/2006
Restrictions $500 Education Edge customer cash is available to customers who graduated from an accredited college in past 2 years or will do so in next 12 months.
Comments Incentives may vary; see your local dealer for details.
My last college class is tomorrow
so I should qualify.
Has anyone received this discount on an Evo?

I recieved the $500 discount. If you haven't graduated yet - you will need a letter from the college stating your graduation date. Up to 6 months away I believe. Or...if you have graduated w/ in the last year you will recieve it as well. Good luck!
I believe it's only viable if you finance through Mitsu. This incentive has been around a long time, but when I got my 05, I didn't qualify since I got my own financing through USAA.
I'm really glad to hear it applies to the Evo. I was affraid it didn't. This should just about offset the cost of shipping from CA to MI. I'll probably place my order within the next two weeks.

More than a college graduate program.
When school ends, it doesn't mean the challenges end as well. That's why in addition to other great financing programs at the best available rates, Mitsubishi Motors is also offering grads and soon-to-be-grads an extra reward. An additional $500 rebate. Just fill out the fields below, and you'll be contacted by your local Dealer to see if you qualify for $500 off any new Mitsubishi vehicle (excluding Lancer Evolution), but just like classes end, so will this offer. This program lasts only until June 30, 2006. Important restrictions and rules apply. See your participating Dealer for program rules.

I just signed the papers today to buy an EVO 9. The dealership gave me the rebate-no problems. I pick up the car next week when it arrives-I guess we'll find out then if it is available or not.

You will probably find out then that it's not available. It clearly states that the Evo is excluded, and the fine print also requires you to finance through Mitsu. Your dealership probably just didn't know any better. The thing is, though, the dealership doesn't give the rebate, but rather Mitsu does. For them to give the money to the dealer, the dealer will have to show proof that it wasn't an Evo and that you financed through Mitsu. When neither happens, it will come out of their pocket. Hopefully, that happens, because then it's not out of YOUR pocket, hah.
