Sorry to inform of ppl wanting a US Evo. I heard from a reputable mitsu source that the Evo 7's destined for the US will be VERY similar to the current US 2001 Eclipse GT's. Meaning NO Turbo, No AYC and, NO Hood Scoops; just phony indentations like the 3g eclipses.

Nah, not happening, although the new eclipse is selling pretty well according to Mitsu's standards, they have infact realised that taking out the turbo eclipse was a mistake. The aftermarket hasn't really gone too poo-poo over the current eclipse. Well Evo on the other hand will be the next god. Seriously, everyone and their Uncle will be releasing aftermarket parts for the Evo. Even though it's not really the same 4G63 engine, a bit different, nothing HKS or Greddy or Injen can't handle.
Whose your source? The local dealer? The Evo WILL have a turbo...why wouldn't it
If it didn't have a turbo and most of the other J-spec features it won't sell..might as well get the OZ
Find a better source for your info.

I just called my "source" (no joke) to see if he had any new info. My source may not be any better than anyone elses but he told me:
The Evo will be here in December amd will have 276hp and ayc. He also mentioned that it would be essentially the j-spec Evo. He DID mention something about the hood and wing but I didn't catch what he said (he was hard to understand with his strong foreign accent)..I think he said they'd be the same with scoops and all but could be wrong. Also I asked him about price and he told me that it would start around 26K.

My source tells me that the US Evo will have twin V8s and will compete with the new Bugatti EB 16-4 Veyron, yet will still cost less than $30K. I consider this source very reliable.
