i heard all stick shift cars.....rpms are off...by about 300? so even if u drop under a grand...and get to 500 ur really at 800....all as a safety spec i guess...on my friends car he dropped his adle and he was idling at 500....he said he liked to feel the power...damn car shook and rumbled....anyway why the question?

i have a 03 evo and the idle is between 1 and 2 wich i thought was fairly high and my exhaust is very loud at idle (to loud) i have the rsr i think it's 3.25 inches with no cat so i just wanted to drop it down a little, but another one of my problem's is in the morning cold starts i have to rev it little or the car turns off but once it warms up it's okay?any ideas im going to lower mi ideal right now.

On cold idle.. sometimes my car idles above 1k and as much as 2k rpm at first.
warm idle.. 900-1000... but I am adding 3% fuel. It is normal for cold idle to be higher.

Yes when you first cut the engine on its normal for the car to idle a little high (1100-1500 rpms), especially if its really cold outside. Warm it should go down to 750-1000.
