HKS DLI 2 Ignition....i never understood what this does and when i need it...i know my car is weak right now....can some1 explain this product or other products simliar to it

how is your car weak? and why didn't you search? i believe david buschur himself has answered this question in the thread where he's promoting his own coil on plug and the hks dli which he also sells comparing the two's pros and cons.

since you're lazy i will tell you what it does. it's an ignition amplifier. it boost the voltage difference in the coils which then delivers a stronger spark (more current). this does several things, improves the burn of each engine cycle, resulting in more power, better and cleaner more efficient operation. some ancilaries of these are better idle, larger spark plug gaps, faster spool up and overall better car performance.

he does. or did... or does, iunno. i know it exists, i don't know if they still make them. in the thread he said that hte hks unit is more than enough.

 

i think it is for your head lights. makes them change color or something.

it allows you to run 2 more qts. of headlight fluid


anyways, what was said above was correct. when you are running bigger injectors more fuel is neccessary and that tends to drown out the spark. the DLI amplifiys it so there is more spark.
