To anyone who can help with a feedback on what happened to my car. I was driving my car today and all of a sudenn it shut off......My friend and i had to push it to my house. Anyhow the only thing i can think of was i ran out of gas. But i checked gas gauge it's at half point. So i don't think it's the gas. I think it may be the fuel pump i added 6months ago do you think it went bad? if so how can you tell? Well in the pass everytime i started my car it would crank 2seconds then start. This has been going for quite some times. I first thought it might be the starter but the car shut off while i was driving in fifth gear. Any advices ? the reason why i think i may be the fuel pump ( Walbro 255lp) because the car just comletly shut off during driving. Or the starter. it's not the battery i had my friend jump start it also but didn't work all the electricity is on and seems fine. any feed back would help thank you
i cant think of any other creative solutions to the problem, and since you may be running higher than normal boost iwouldnt suggest starting the car with the stock fuel pump in, in case the worst should happen. so maybe try this: pull the fuel pump, hook it up to a power source (away from anything flammable) and see if it whirrs. if you cant hear or feel anything, welp pretty sure its dead. maybe someone else local can lend you their walbro for a few hours to see what the problem is...

Fuel pumps usually don't just die - there's a lead time with symptoms of whining and longer cranking (building pressure).
You need to take the car to be diagnosed - this could be many things and judging by the post, I don't know if you're the right person to run through an end:end DX.
I like to go with Achum's Razor and assume something simple like something popped off, disconnected or modification failure.
A dead battery won't do it - your car is on alt while driving.
You need to determine whether it's hydraulic/mechanical or electrical then take the nececassary steps - fortunately, the way you describe it, it doesn't sound mechanical!

I'd check all wiring and fuses - especially where you have aftermarket stuff, that's been the most common resolution of similar problems around here... good luck bro!
Well, if you have had cranking problems for a while now, the fuel pump is probably the best place to start. Have you heard much noise difference in the pump since the cranking problem?
