sunroof question

I just put down my downpayment for my evo last night but I have a question. The one I'm buying does not have a roof so the dealer said he could install one for me at cost of the factory option. Now my questions is this dumb or do you all think it will look just the same at factory?

I had a dealer offer me the same thing. I chickened out. He said they were actually Mitsubishi factory sunroof "kits" that mitsu supplies them in order to offer sunroofs as a dealer installed option. Sounds like B.S. to me, but thats what they said..... I

I would seriously not recommend it. If you want a sunroof so bad you should just wait it out, otherwise go without the roof. Besides, the sunroofless Evo has the nifty little sunglass holder up by the maplights .

I was told the same thing as Svillata.... the dealer told me he could get one in there for factory cost and its a genuine sunroof. I didnt do it, but eventually I'd consider it

Dont let them install a sunroof. Either get it from the factory that way or dont get it at all.

Its like gettin a car thats automatic. If you want to change it to stick you should have just gotten a car that was stick.
If you want a sunroof, just get a car with a sunroof already

Ever tried to reconfigure a fish to fly like a bird? I think that's the sort of point we're trying to make here. If it wasn't built that way...I wouldn't trust a dealership to cut a hole in my roof.

I see everyones point it ust ya know I want it so bad I will not buy a 30,000 car without a roof always had one and love them so much. So it's like I just want to make sure about what I 'm doing before I drop 5,000 on a down payment

No shame in that. Do what you want to do with your money. We're just here for moral support......sometimes.
