BAD luck

i know there are alot of these stories out there but i figured i would post this one. I was driving home from work with my buddy and a cop pulled me over for front tinted windows. I was like you gota be kidding me, but i sucked it up and drove off. Then two days later witch was today i was on my way to school and another cop pulled me over. I was like let me guess the tint and the officer says yes. I told him i already had a tiket for it and i would be taking it off soon. Then he actually says "well if you already have a ticket for it im going to give you a loud muffler ticket". I Couldnt belive it, just my luck and since i was on a ticket now i have to make a court appearence. bthis sucks!!!

i feel ya dude. The cop probably saw the oppurtunity to put in for 4 court hours pay. I had a run in with a cop in one of my other cars(97 blazer) that ultimately led to me getting pulled over in NH in my evo(for not having a front plate on) and getting put in handcuffs. Long story short, I was gonna get a warning for my front plate from the surprisingly cool cop in NH(he loved the car ) but after running my license it turned out it was suspended in MA cuz someone ****ed up so he had to arrest me. I wish evos came with a stealth mode option...

Sorry to hear about that....it happens. I had a aftermarket muffler on my previous car and for 4 years never got pulled over and then in 3 months I got pulled over 4 times for it.

Those fast and furious movies damaged the import scene and how an import is percieved, which really hurt all of us. Now a cop sees a shiny muffler or hear an exhaust....they go street racer!!! In fact could be the total opposite? Harleys can have ear deafining exhausts or big ole critter trucks but a 4 banger with a little louder than stock muffler gets nailed.. its really annoying sometimes that they have to pull you over for something petty because they dont have anything else better to pull you over for? but yet you can get passed by Ford Expeditions and stuff going 95mph and drive past a cop and he pulls you over for 70 in a 65 zone....oh well small price to pay I guess?

Plus I have seen cops driving more dangerously for no aparent reason than normal people on the street...to bad we couldnt make a citizens traffic stop and ticket there ***!

i had tint on my old gti, it just gets you in a ton of trouble. First they pull you over for the tint then they notice the exhaust then no front plate blah blah blah. Thats why on my evo i rock a front plate, i hate the way it looks but no tickets and no tint either. I do however have a really loud exhaust ahaha. Anyways take pictures of ALL the windows with the tint off and bring it into court. Thats what i did and they dropped the ticket. As far as the exhaust bring them borla print out form the borla website thats says there 50 state legal and thell drop that too. Its not like the guy is going to walk out side and look at your car and be like "thats not borla thats HKS!" Good luck.

he should have actually had to pull out a decibel reader to prove the car was over i believe 80 or 85 dba , he cant just give you the ticket because it sounds loud he woulda had to proved it was too loud . not sure if it might be just your area but i had 1 pulled out on me and i passed

for tints...u can tint everything to a certain point right? i kno fi they r too dark u can get pulled over. dont u have to keep the driver window tintless and the windshield? or is that an old rule?
