i can feel the excitement.....during the break in period, just compensate for the lack of boost by cutting every 90 degree corner at 40 mph

actually you should boost a lot, but keep it under 5k rpm's. the increased pressure in the combustion chamber will push out the piston rings, and bed in with the walls quicker.

I have been just driving it however, but under 5k for now. The only thing that really sucks is the tranny (stiff shifting). I talked to the head tech at the dealer today and he was saying that mods are really no big deal. He was saying how the 1st thing I should do is a turbo timer..... WTF? I am thinking whatever dude. He said that the rep and himself don't mind mods as long as I keep the factory cat. converter. He knows that I am a VW tech and I told him that as long as a customer is honest with me about the mods I would not void there warranty, and he said that he couldn't agree more. I think I not only bought me car at the right place but also, just might have a good service department as well.

afaik a turbo timer isnt' a bad idea if you haven't got the patience/foresight to let the turbo cool down after a hard drive, especially on the way home from work or something.
