How are you long distance daily drivers dealing with gas prices?

of course its a little bit of a bite in my wallet, but only 10 dollars more per fillup

I drive the "other" car, the tdi, which saves wear and tear on the evo which I am apparently unable to drive like a sane person.

Not an Evo owner "yet" but when I do get one I only have a 5 mile drive to work
so I don't think it'll be too bad. But nights I have class maybe a different story.
Plus anytime during the week we go out we take her car(the wife's). But come the weekends it's usually my car.

i used to drive around 400 miles a week - after hurricane katrina, I was spending nearly 3-400 bucks a month on GAS!! That combined with the wear and tear on the car, was enough to motivate me in finding a new job (among other things).
I take the commuter train into work...drive my car about 65-70 miles a week. I used to be able to fillup about 10 bucks of gas and it would last me a week, but now it has creeped up to 14-15 bucks.
These gas prices aren't gonna come down too much...you either bend over and take it or you cut down on driving/sell the Evo

I have a 20 mile back and forth commute but still end up using my derbi (motorbike) for commuting. 100 mpg is much better the 28 mpg, plus I am saving the environment heheh (laughing because my bike is a 2-stroke!)

Do you just make room in your budget and/or stay out of boost? Or do you just shrug it off? Personally, I've stopped driving mine during the week (125 miles round trip 5 days/week). I drive my girlfriend's Neon to and from work now (34 mpg). I've calculated a savings of $5 per day, not to mention the wear and tear. But I sure miss driving my blue beast
.
.It's not really that bad because we obviously did not buy the car for its fuel economy.
no clue what costs here but all i know is that 25 buck in the prius will last my mom 600 miles. cant wait for the new redesign in the prius it can only mean more tax incentatives and fuel savings. and that 25 bucks lasts her a week

.I myself, bought a 'beater' (00 infinity g20) to drive everyday. i drive round trip around 100 miles per weekday, so i had to do something.
i save about $40 a week, getting 33mpg instead of 19. $40 a week, for 4.333 weeks a month works out to be more than i pay for this car.($130 per month) it only makes sense to do something like that.
