This day didn't suck.
After 40 days of arguing with the insurance company and driving my sweet Pontiac G6 rental car, they finally decided to total the car. After nearly a month, the insurance company's experts decided the car was repairable. The revised estimate came in $6k higher than the original $12K repair estimate, so they changed their minds. Still arguing with the insurance company over the market value, but I was finally able to go shopping for a new car. As of tonight, I now have a white Evo IX RS in the garage. I like the interior much better than my VIII's. Already ordered TurboXS turboback and a JDM IX rear bumper. As soon as I'm past the break-in period, I'll be taking it to Sean Ivey for an Ecutek tune. I'll be selling lots of parts from the VIII soon, including an RNR GT30 kit, AEM EMS with sensors (new in box), brand new HKS 272 intake cam, and a 50mm Tial bov (new).
I also managed to hit a deer with my rental car last week. Cost me $80 to replace the front grills/trim. My luck has not been good lately.
