this has been discussed quite a few times.

IX - enkei wheels, no leather, 5 speed instead of 6 speed, no bilsteins, no HID's, about 5k less

MR - bilsteins, BBS wheels, HID's, 6 speed, 5 k more....

IMO..the 5k extra you spend on an MR is not worth it and you could use 5k to make your IX GSR over 300hp to the wheels and have better suspension than the MR...but thats just my view on things

Its got the 6 speed tranny for better top end performance and its a tad quicker in the lower end due to shorter gearing...Its got an aluminum roof for lighter weight so no sunroof....Bilstein suspension for a better ride but also handles alot better...Better interior as far as seats go...and lighter and better lookin wheels the vortex generator on the roof is better for high speed stability..the zero lift kit is also a plus for high speed stability...Its a hell of a car...The MR is really good...Go buy it..I had one and i plan on buying another one very soon...graphite grey is by far the best color.....Good Luck

MR stands for Must Race.
RS Stands for Real Sporty
GSR Stands for Getting a Sporty Ride
Thats the only difference.

Seats are the same for all EVOs unless you get the SSL pack.

There's this kick *** site called www.mitsubishicars.com where strangely enough, they show information about all Mitsubishi cars, not just Evos. I wonder if this will catch on one day and other manufacturers start doing it.

You should get the MR-S version instead. Its the 2-door version Mitsu is secretly releasing in the summer.
