4th car 68 vw bug (fun, but no power)
5th car 1981 vw rabbit (lets all laugh together)
6th car 1997 Eclipse GST
7th car 1997 Eclipse GST (yes, I had two in a row)
8th car 2001 Lexus IS300 (very nice, no power, didnt want to do supra conversion for power)
9th car 2003 Evolution - Ladies and gentlemen......I have said enough!

Stock to stock, the Evo (especially an IX) will smoke the R32 in ALL performance categories. The gap only widens as you start to mod. The only reason to get an R32 over an Evo is for the interior, certainly not performance. However one car that you haven't looked at is an A4 2.0T quattro. It's pretty nice when it's chipped. Obviously not in the same performance league as the Evo, but if you want a cush car that is fast ...
