Pic of USDM Evo IX turbo here!

My friends Evo IXs motor blew due to bad factory assembly and anyway, heres a pic of the IX turbo, its very much bigger than the 05 for sure, take a look yourselves! This turbo is definitely the big power gain on the IX! Damn thing looks almost like a 20G!

Studs in the oil pan broke, oil spilled out, bottom end went BOOM!! Snapped rod#1 in half, rod hit piston which crakced and piston damaged the valve,the top of the pistons seemed to have signs of detonation... Its getting covered under warranty...



I need to get this turbo!! It looks soooo much bigger than the VIII's

you will definitely see some significant gains w/ IX turbo on an evo 8. The larger compressor housing means linear flow w/ better mid-to-top end gain.

Waiting to see more testing/dyno #s before i make a decision on buying this turbo
