Can bumpers be fixed?

I just backed into our garage pole at about 2mph and my rear bumper is slightly dented on the side and scrapped. The trunk will close but with some effort.

Do I have to replace the entire bumper or can I get it straightened back? The damage looks so minor.

A body shop can re-shape it, sand it, and paint it.

welll..... see what theyre gonna charge you for it first, then see how much to buy a new bumper...... SOMETIMES its cheaper to buy new.

But you must find a good body shop. I have seen some that have no clue how to prep a plastic bumper. Paint cracks or peels off.

Yeah, it can be fixed but make sure you don't get raped on labor costs. Some bodyshops are looking to make quick bucks when ppl come in wanting to repair something rather than replace it.
