Guys i need the strongest double sided tape there is, i just installed my defi, but the control unit won't stay put, can anyone recommend some REALLY STRONG double sided tape. Thanks.

 

3M automotive adhesive works wonders, though my experience with stick tape sucks. The change in temperatures hurts the tapes performance. Where are you taping the control unit to?

 

i taping it right under the cubby hole, reason is im getting a double din kit soon from orbital~ so far its ok~

 

3m double sided foam tape works wonders. It was strong enough to stick the european license plate to the front of my Reiger bumper on my old Audi and it never moved a mm in two years. I also have my Valentine One remote display stuck to the underside of the gauge cluster hood with a tiny narrow strip. Its on there rock solid.

 

Go to home depot and they have industrial strength velcro

 

The best velcro type stuff i've ever used is 3m Dual Lock. Its rough on both sides, sticks like crazy and is super strong.

Home Depot sells 3M brand double sticky. It's been holding my Defi control unit under the radio for over a year now. Good stuff, just be sure to thoroughly clean the surfaces before applying the tape. I used rubbing alcohol as a cleanser.

The Defi tape failed on me in a couple weeks....

 

Fusor 170 double sided tape is some serious adhesive.
