Wideband/Datalogger question

Well I have been looking into purchasing a wideband and datalogger and I think I have settled on the PLX R-500 simply cause it looks like it does it all at a reasonable price.

My question is for anyone that has one of these or has recently purchased a similar product. Is there anything about it that you didn't like or wish that you knew about it before purchasing? I want to make sure that it has all the options that I am going to want down the road. I won't be doing a standalone for quite some tiem so this will have to have all the logging capabilities I will want/need. Who has the best deals on the PLX's?

Thanks for any advice.

Which Zeitronix? Are you talking about the ZT-2 or another? If you have that how do you like it and is there anything you wish that it offered? From what Ive found if you add all the stuff you need to the ZT-2 to make it the same as the PLX it is more expensive.

What do you mean?

Both out of the box do the same thing....... neither have a boost sensor (from what i can see), neither have EGT out of the box............ zeitronix is $399 plx is $550 ...... Plx does have some more loging inputs, but you won't need them. Zeitronix logs whats important. Boost, EGT, AF/R & TPS..... with 1 user input, (you can use knock for this). Zeitronix is basic, reliable and inexpensive.

Our pricing is very competative, PM me for a specific Zeitronix + options price quote.

How does the Zeitronix interface with the EVO? I'm assuming it taps into the ECU right?

Can I buy it without the o2 sensor? Basically I'm wanting to replace my plx m500...

Actually I don't think it does everything I'm looking for

I'd like to have AIT, Coolant temps, timing... basically everything I can log I'd like to have hmmm.

I like some of the ODBII software out there but the "data rate" is too slow and can miss things.

You can't get it without the O2 sensor. The sensor is a cheap $60-70 and is nice to have a backup in case of an emergency.

5 taps into the ECU and you are done. TPS, RPM, 12V, GND, Sensor GND.

LOL, Zeitronix owner is a big road racer so we have spoken about AIT and Oil pressure logging. In time these features should be added. One step at a time. I know DEFI makes both those gauges, but they do not log.
