by leaving the air intake tube on and running an open element filter(buschur cone filter) are there any benefits.eg. cool air being directed towards the filter. i,m talking about the one that is on top of the radiator not the intake tube going to the turbo. Any opinions?

You mean the snorkel? It's not really a tube, hah. Yeah, I think most people with an open element intake keep that on there to direct cool air towards the filter. If not, well at least I do it...

 

i meant snorkel couldnt think of the right name (brain lock).Thats also the reason i keep it on, just wanted some feedback.Was hoping you,d chime in Clay.If you keep it on also then good enough for me,thanks, Danny
