What mistubishi dealers have you guys had good luck with. Ones that i am specifically looking to are the ones that dont mind mods. In illinios that is.

Do NOT go to the one in Schaumberg. The service manager told me that if I ever put lowering springs on my car or a different air filter he will void my ENTIRE warrenty, engine, tans, etc., the whole warrenty

 

a different air filter? not even a K&N drop in? thats just ridiculous..
i called the Max Madsen in Aurora and the service manager told me that depends on what mods you have and what problem the car has... but he also said a boost controller will definitely void the warranty on the engine..

 

what kind of mods do you have?

I"ve heard that just a cat back is ok but if you have a TBE, good luck.

You might wanna try biggers mitsu in elgin, IL.
I've heard they are somewhat mod friendly.

 

Schuamburg service manager keith almost got smacked when he told me that same BS story. No dealer is mod friendly, they all answer to the same district service manager and he personally inspects your car. Good Luck.

 

There is some consumer protection law( i can't remember the name) that states the dealer has to prove that the aftermarket modification had to directly contribute to the malfunction of factory equipment in order to void warrenty. I had to use this before in UT. My A/C wasen't working and they tried to tell me that it was becuase of the autometer tach i had put in. i ended up taking them to court for it. i won
