Yay! Just another IX problem...

Hey guys...I was happily driving home tonight when I noticed something wrong with the IX RS. Out of nowhere, the rear drivers wheel area created a very noticeable thumping sound when rotating. It sounded very similar to flat. I pulled over and examined the wheel/tire. It was perfectly filled without a hole or any debris on it. I decided to drive home again. It still made the sound. Again, I pulled over and checked for any abnormalities. Everything seemed cosmetically perfect and the tire was properly inflated. As I sped up, the thumping sound came faster and faster. It sounded like it was definitely something on the wheel, but nothing's there! Its rather frustrating when Ive had the car for 423 miles Anyone have any ideas??? Thanks!

Cancel that! I found out what the problem is. I just crawled under the car and I found a ball of metal and nails stuck to the inner part of the tire towards the sidewall underneath the car. This sucks. I hope I can just go and get it plugged so I dont need to be a new tire. Its too close to tell.

I guess that its not the IX's fault...Just bad luck

If the hole is near too close to the side wall, shops wont repair it.

After reading some other threads it might lead you to believe it was on purpose... One nail is bad luck, but a whole ball?

Your best bet is to get a new tire.
