I never once got a wave back from any evo owner. I will have my eyes open for a yellow one though.
I live in Hyde Park and I work in the West Loop. (I once again renew my claim that I am the only LY Evo owner on the South Side of Chicago, but that's another thread)

I got nothing but love from other Evos for the past three years. I saw the VG and leather seats so I knew this guy hasn't had his Evo for too long. It was weird because he stopped even with my doors and left like six feet between him and the car ahead of him. He was on my right so I would've had to reach between the seats to wave at him. Whatevs. Guess I crossed paths with the wrong guy!

I've usually had friendly encounters with other EVO owners on the road.

I get a wave for the most part, but like someone already said.....if you are a pr*ck, it won't matter what type of car you drive.

Most Evo and STI owners are cool and give a wave.

I always give fellow evo and subie owners a wave, and most of the time receive waves back. Always get waves from the modded lancers too, can't decide what to do half the time with them.

Most of us in the DC area know each other, but there are tons of newer owners who I see occasionally who don't wave or whatever. I just chalk it up to not seeing me... I mean I see guys I know super well who don't wave at me, because they just don't see me. If someone was at a light next to me, though, and they didn't at least give me a head nod, I'd be kind of confused and put off...

Who cares? A car is a car. Just because he owns and Evo doesn't mean he's into the "scene". I see Evos every day here. People of all ages - everyone from people driving their kids to school to teenagers in Evos. It's a car, get over it.

Way I see it, if they wave, I wave. If I wave and they don't wave back it's not a bad thing - they just don't get it. I don't look down on them if they don't.
