Question on Hardwire and circuits

Ok my cig lighter doesnt work i think its burnt out because the fuse is fine. My question is can i still hardwire my V1 to the cig lighter if the lighter itself doesnt work. I was just gonna plug it into the cig lighter but i figured i'd just hardwire it and be done but i need to know if it will still work there even if the lighter itself doesnt. If this isnt gonna work i gotta hardwire it somewhere else and i dont know where else to hardwire it. thanks for all the help

Get a multimeter and test the wires to see if they are getting power. That will give you your answer.
