whats up with Z-1 performance?? (not good)

No problems with Adam here. Probably just caught him on a bad day. Give Z1 a chance, they're pretty competitive in pricing.

Wow, Gerard works there now too! I know them both.. They are definitely THE place to get your stuff from.. Their honest about availability and whatnot, and their pricing is competative.

I've had nothing but excellent service from these guys. Z-1 is a top notch vendor. Great communication and timely delivery. Adam has been very helpful. Give them a chance.

Adam is the Man. Sometimes a little stressed, but when it comes to getting the stuff you want that nobody else can get....Adam has it the next day for a better price!!!!

Think about the mood you would be in if you answered the phone all day and 90% of the people wanted a price for an intake for a '90 civic non-vtec.

The world is full of as*holes, Adam is not one of them.

You have not idea what you are talking about. After going through all the crap with Z-1 Performance, it's easiler for me to write them off, then post in detail on every forum their on/off customer service.

If you had such a bad experience with them then explain as Gerard asked; either pm him or type it out here. Because maybe they want to improve on customer satisfaction. I say that 99% of the people here have had great experiences with him but that sometimes some customers are never satisified. And you seem to be in that 1% cat.

Adam and z-1 = 100% awesome! i got all my suspension parts from them last week and had everything installed yesterday... when i first called to place an order, Adam was very accomadting and answered ALL of my questions, and we had a great discussion about my evo. i had questions about shipping- he answered all my emails- and was not one bit rude or short with me, i was nothing but pleased with the service i recieved and in fact i will buy from them in the future without hesitation- Adam is a class act!!! THANKS Z-1!!!!!!!!

This is what happened. I order a part from Z-1 Performance, it took 3 months before it arrived, and when it did arrive it was damaged. Z-1 Performance said they don't a replacement, and will issue a refund only after their claim with UPS has gone through, which will take another month or more. Here's the problem, legally their insurance claim with UPS has nothing to do with me (they can't hold my refund hostage against their claim. ie if UPS deny their claim because of poor packaging, does it mean I don't get my refund?), and they should have issued a refund the moment UPS picked up the part. They didn't, and they kept on telling me it's not their policy, even though their policy is not legal. This went back and forth for a couple of weeks, before I contacted my credit card company. Chase also stated the non-legality of Z-1 Performance action, in their attempt to withhold my refund as an insurance against their insurance claim with another company. Hence, my credit card took care of the problem.

Keep in mind, this part was never installed on the car. It was damaged from the get go, and the refund should have been issued immediately, instead of Z-1 Performance trying to make me financialy liable for something I have nothing to do with. If that isnt shady, I don't know what is.

Pray your part doesn't arrived damaged, because you may have to go through the same crap as I did.

Bad experience here.
Z1 does not accept international credit cards.

Ok, then I tried to solve asking my friend that is US resident to buy from Z1, USA credit card. They did not accept his credit card just because he would send the part for me. Until today I did not understand this attitude.


I bought from another store... problem solved!
