D2R is for headlights with reflector.

D2S is for headlight with a lens projector like the evo.

Ummmmm........................D2S only! D2R are for cars without projectors. Bulbs are one of the few items that Ebay is your friend. 8000k should do the trick for you.

I'm running Sylvania Osram Xenarc 6000k bulbs. They're awesome.

GP Thunder makes a nice 10000k blue bulb. They call it D2C, which works with both types of hid housings.

If you're looking for "coolness" factor.
Go with a 6000k Philips ultinon bulb. Stay away from the cheapo brands as they'll probably last you under a year and may explode in the headlight housing.

For the best visibility and light output, use a philips D2S bulb. 4300k

If you're really cool and gansta, then go for 8000k and you'll be just like people running halogens.

D2C is CRAP. Get the D2S, what the car spec'd in the first place. D2C has less lumens and should be avoided.

You do realize that the higher the "K" the less actual light is produced, right?
