Anyone left who "isn't" be hassled by cops?
I merely drove past two cops sitting on the side of the road... I wasnt speeding at all or doing anything reckless. I was properly spaced from the car behind me.
They get behind me at the stop light, once it turned green the lights went on and i got pulled over for illegal window tint. BS.

i have not been bothered 1 time by cops with & without my wing on... i think people do alot to bring attention to themselves. my car has wheels, 3" exhaust, tint ect.. no problems here
in my 2g eclipse i used to get pulled over all the time

i have a wingless RS with loud greddy ti exhaust and still havent gotten pulled over, but then i do drive safely and by the speed limit
edit: it's just all about the damn wing, i wil be putting one on soon though, anyone wonna sell me their Wicked White wing?

It's all where you live and how you drive. In my ever popular wing ticket thread I was driving to work at 6am and was coming off of a red light taking a turn, then BAM got nabbed. I don't drive like an idiot on the street, I like having my license.
But here in SE WI the cops think they are above everyone else. I can say this since my father was a Milwaukee cop for 32 years. But whats worse than the MPD is all of the little suburbs in the surrounding area, if you get pulled over and get a half way decent attitude officer consider yourself lucky.
But like I said in my other thread it's how "professional" you present yourself. Act like an *** and you will be treated the same way, it's just that the officer now has the upper hand. If the officer comes off with an attitude still remain "professional" whatever the outcome. Just remember if something ever happens to you in your life who are you going to call???

New Owner
I have had my Electric Blue IX for about a month now. So far, only had one cop pull up along side me and "remind" me of the 55 mph speed limit :-). I had a bright yellow Mazdaspeed Protege for three years before the Evo and never had a problem because of the wing or the color. Of course, I am a little older than your average Evo owner.
I'm convinced Graphite Gray keeps me on the "Pay no mind" list. I also find that Baltimore City cops have bigger fish to fry. My girlfriend gets pulled over more in her focus than me in my Evo...

never been hassled either, and i'm in jersey with no front plate. 1 close call though. i was on a 2 lane road and a cop was coming from the other direction. suddenly he hits his brakes and almost comes to a full stop. i was maybe 5 over the limit so i just took my foot of the gas. i drive by him (staring straight ahead, i didn't want to make eye contact) but then he just keeps on going. maybe he was just checking to make sure that i at least had a rear plate on (i.e. it wasn't a stolen car). and the best part is, about a mile down the same road, another cop is coming from the other direction. but he pays me no notice :-)
funny thing is though, on my test drive (the salesman was driving 1st), we were on a 25 mph road, not really speeding, and there's a cop going same direction in front of us. he pulls over to let us pass, then proceeds to pull us over. he couldn't see the dealer plate in the front window. fair enough i suppose. he also said he just wanted to make sure it wasn't stolen. so that's the only trouble i ever had, but technically i wasn't driving and it wasn't my car at that point ;-)

People also have to remember the ONLY place you will EVER get the upper hand on a cop is in the court room. On the side of the road, no matter how bad the officers attitude, anything you do/say that is not courteous is kicking your own self in the nuts! The old adage. "...even if you are right, you are wrong..." No matter how sharp of wit you think you are, the last thing an officer is going to put up with is a "f-v-c-kin' know it all". Regardless of what people think, they only have to listen to your mouth long enough to "offer" to allow you to sign for your freshly earned citation (refuse to sign, go straight to jail).
Being that I spend most of my time in a Court House these days... another tidbit of advise. Adults, as in mature drivers, drive in the upright position. One of the quickest ways to possibly draw attention to yourself (without actually breaking the law) is to kick your seat back about 45 degrees. "Gansta style" recliner seats screams, "I'm a punk kid, pull me over!" I've actually heard this stated by a prosecutor speaking with an officer.

I agree with the man above me, just be proffesional, calm, and polite...I have had my fair share of being pulledo ver, was polite in all cases and the ones where i did get a ticket, well they were dropped in court because A) the cop was an idiot or B) the cop was an idiot! lol Theres always ways outta tickets so if u get one just hang your head and let the cop drive away u can get your revenge in court wen he finds out no clocking u with the radar gun isn't gonna hold up in court or if his donut munching *** filled the ticket out wrong...lol
ive been pulled over a couple of times for not having a front plate....but ive always been courteous with a cop and never been a smartass. of all the times ive gotten pulled over, only got a ticket once for not having a plate....and he gave me that instead of giving me a speeding ticket!
