It's a little late notice but there will be an EVO vs STI Shootout &Time Attack on the 24th and 25th of June at Miller Motorports Park in SLC Utah.

It is open to anyone and everyone.

The event will take place on the 2+ mile West Course (techniqual course) of Miller Motor Park - The nicest race track in America. This is a great chance to come out and see for yourself how incredible the facility really is. AND see how you stack up against your fellow EVO's and STI's.

The Event is being put on by the guys at Lappingdays.com. To register simply go to www.lappingdays.com and sign up for the track days on the 24th or 25th of June. Cost is $300 per day.

I’ll have a formal web flyer and a few more details in a day or so.

Wish I could make it jared but I will be spending all my money in vegas this weekend a will not have any left over for the track day. That is unless I win big.

I'll be there! Man this track is going to bankrupt me. I feel like a drug addict looking for some crack. Only instead of crack it's multiple track days a month.

 

So far the only cars with some street cred are these two finely built cars. Thats all fine and good, but there are a lot of fast and dare i say faster cars out there, and I'm hoping this time attack isn't limited to these two, as i am sure there will be many faster (myself included) non-Evo and STi's out there that will want a piece of a$$.

I'm not tooting my own horn or anything (well, perhaps a little) but i want to be involved regardless of the badge on my hood. Together we can stop racism.

 

PS: how is the timing taking place. I heard that supposedly MMP does not have any native timing equip. Was i misinformed?

Eficker - You can get in on it. Lapping Days uses transponders. Only MMP open track days are non-timed.

Bring it my evo loving friend. I've taken them down before, and i'll do it again. The only evo i will not be taking down that weekend is vesko, but thats only cause he has the unlimited budget of seth's deep pockets. Funny, its such a sick car, you'd figure he would learn how to drive it himself.

Side note: Seth street raced a camero f-body with a 300 shot of nitrous and cam and bet $500 on it. Let me just tell you that he is about as good at drag racing as he is at road racing, and even driving from what i've heard. Like a monkey humping a football.

He is $500 poorer.

Why do some people put tape on their headlights?

 

To protect them from getting damaged by rocks and other debris?

 

To stop them going all over the track surface in the event they get smashed.
