Walbro Install ?
I was talking with a co-worker. Former DSM owner and tuning guru. He was asking if the EVO guys run power to their walbro's stright from the battery. I told him I never heard anything about it. He said mabey it was just a DSM thing. Anyone have expieience with this?
HELL NO! Just swap the stock pump for the walbro. No special wiring needed. It is a direct replacement. Plug and Play bro.
IMHO- I don't want my fuel pump running when my car is off?!?!?!?!?

When I did upgrade to a Walbro, I left it rigged up because hey, even MORE pressure
DSMers are straight up DIY and will do anything if it will give them a little more power, and the cheaper the mod, the better.
I remember tuning my DSM with an S-AFC, EGT temps, and the voltage read from the "blue wire" mod to the S-AFC that gave you the voltage of the O2 sensor...and of course feeling the car pull timing...with seat of the pants tuning, who needs a dyno
If I remember correctly, the target was ~1,550F EGT and ~.92V AFR.

As a former DSM'er I believe I read on here that the wireing the in EVO's is sufficent so there is no voltage drop causing less fuel like DSM's did.
I guess omeone with a fuel pressure gauge would know for sure though.
