left and right angle of HID beams

Does anyone know how to adjust the left and right angle of the beams?

I know how to adjust up&down but need to know how to adjust the drivers side's angle a bit.

Thanks in advance.

Are your lights the JDM lights or USDM lights?

I'd like to find out as well.. Even the HID's on my MR have the electronic height adjustment, but after installing springs/coilovers if the front is any lower than the rear you'll lose beam reach even when it's adjusted to the highest position.

It's a usdm MR.

There is a "how to " for vertical adjustments. It's fairly easy.

I need to find out how to adjust the left/right angle adjustment.
My driver's side beam is pointing way to the right side(pessenger side) of the car.

Any help would be really appreciated.

I'll look at mine tonight or this weekend and see if I can figure it out.. With modern day headlight housings (especially units like the Evo's), I don't know if there even is IS a L/R adjustment.

Here's the thread from the how-to section: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=75583

Some words of advice: turn it very slowly and carefully, you're turning a plastic gear with a metal one, so be very careful. It worked just fine for me and now they're perfect.

sorry, but it's not that one.

I already know how to do that.

I need to adjust the angle so my drivers side beam aims more towards the center of the car, not to the shoulder of the road.

Thanks anways though.

I believe there is no horizontal adjustment on HID low beams, only veritical.

I could be wrong, I have taken the lamps out on many an Evo and never saw it.

why do you need to adjust them?? did you change the bulbs?? if so, then you need to check the bulb. i had a bulb that was wrong in its base. if you looked at the bulb, it was way off to one side. i took a small steel machinists scale(ruler) to it and it was WAY off being perpendicular to its base. this may be the case with yours or the bulb isnt seated properly into the housing. good luck..

HID bulb sits in perfect with two guides....then a metal holder secures it. It would be difficult to have it sit in incorrectly.

If you bought some $100ea HID bulbs then yes, thats the reason your projection is off probably as they are all over the board quality wise and theres a good chance your simply seeing less light thus assuming you need to adjust left or right...but an overall reduction of lumens will be noticed regardless of alignment.
