boost leak?

so since the day i bought my evo the gauge has read about 12lbs of boost
and i know stock mitsu gauges so i never thought anything of it
except the car didnt feel as fast as i expected
well last night in the pouring rain we hooked up a greddy boost gauge too it and
it is only running about 12-13psi anyone know if theres a place these cars usually get boost leaks from? or any other reason why its not pushing the 19lbs?
any info would be very helpful
thanks
tommy

Take it back if its still under warranty. Did you buy it brand new? There is a thread in here about doing a boost leak test.....its pretty simple.

Sounds to me like the previous owner had a boost controller and took it off before he took the car in and left the vacuum hoses on it instead of reusing the stock lines.
