Insurance Question

My driving record is perfect, but my insurance is still ridiculously expensive. Can anyone recommend a good ins. company in NY? Thanks...

how much is your insurance and how old are you? Is it relatively more expensicve in NY?I would think so but i dunno. I was wondering bc buying an evo REEEAl soon, and im trying to get a guess on how much insurance would be.

I have allstate and it's fairly decent. I think i can get lower with another company but I've been pretty happy with allstate's customer support.

Also, i have multiple cars so it helps with insurance.

Factors affecting insurance rates:

1) Age
2) driving experience
3) driving record
4) Your credit history
5) accident record
6) type of car you drive
7) where you live
8) defensive driving class taken or not ?
9) multi-car policy or not
10) insurance deductible?

I'm not even going to recommend a company, all I'm gonna advise is to shop around and good luck

NY is ridiculously expensive for insurance. My wife is up there for an intership and we had to get a policy to cover her upstate (I'm down in VA). The rates for her doubled just by going from VA to NY. This isn't NY City either.

This is for a Ford Focus . . . I can't imagine what the Evo would cost there.

That being said, USAA (if you qualify for it) or Geico are probably your best bets.

I'm in NY. USAA had the lowest rates.
