How much is too much
How much power can these cars really put to the ground without slipping and sliding like they are on ice. I know there has to be a threshhold. It higher than rwd cars, but it is there. I mean if you launch relitively hard at what power level is that car going to go sideways, start to skip, or just plain do the hustle on you where the tires move and you are moving (technically a burnout without the intent) but kinds slow and all over the place. I know alot depends on the driver... but give me best guesses here

no unfortunately I haven't picked one up yet... I am getting information because my cars dont stay stock...ever. and I will probably buy used. This forum is the best for technical data and so I use it so I know what I am doing from day one. I am sorry if I offended you because I am not yet an evo owner. If someone wants to sell me theres at the right price and midifications... I will be.... very soon!
No, not offended at all. I was just curious. But trust me, you will not regret it one bit! The Evo is the best car ever! I wouldn't worry too much about sliding around, I don't think too many people have a problem with it.
I hear ya. Me, I just jumped into getting the car at a moments notice with no research. That's how much I wanted one. I figured I could learn everything after it was already in my hands.
i can get my stock IX MR to kick just slightly to the side upon launching with the stock launch control w/out turning the wheel
