Anyone in s. fl have their tranny rebuilt locally?
like i said in the title...
i rather have it done locally..less down time and going to be cheaper most likely since im saving a lot on shipping

i doubt you would save much by having it rebuilt locally. The pricing from TRE or Shep is pretty fair, and shipping isnt that much. I dont know, I would rather have it rebuilt by one of them and having the piece of mind knowing that it is going to be perfect when i get it back.

....the thing that bothers me though is the fact that i have to find some1 to pull out the tranny and have a place to leave the car and its going to take much longer....
if some1 local does it.... a day pulling it, a day fixing it, and a day putting it back in... idk

get a buddy and a few of these -
, and pull the trans out yourself!! 
The turnaround for them is about a week, if you cant have your car down that long, your thinking is understandable then.
I just dont trust people working on my car.
