Exhaust mani gasket to head blow out?

I was barely on the gas just normal driving and i heard what sounded like metal shoot through the exhaust, i then noticed an exhaust leak at the head and the exhaust mani. Has anyone ever had there gasket break and shoot through the turbo? Im hoping its just the gasket, im on the stock manifold and turbo still. None of my manifold bolts are broke.

Maybe you blew the welds on your intake manifold

That line will never get old for me...

The motor seems to run fine I just have a exhaust leak at the exhaust mani and the head either the gasket broke in a spot or a stud. It happen when I was barely at 5psi at about 1/2 throttle. I figured if it was the head gasket or something it would be idling ****ty and barely running.

If it is a stock manifold, the stock head to mani gasket is a 3 layered (i believe) metal piece. No way this could break off, its is sandwiched pretty good, and is pretty stong. Aftermarket mani's come with a different type of gasket, not as good as the stock piece. I dont think you have anything to worry about, maybe a part of the aftermarket o2 gasket broke off, however you would surely notice it, as it would be VERY loud. I dont think you have anything to worry about.

found the problem one of my bolts came loose on my 02 housing and the bolt hole goes through into the hotside. WHen the bolt fell out that was the noise i heard it hitting the dp. My manifold did have a slight leak on it aswell
