exhaust question

Is there such a thing as a quiet exhaust system that wont choke the turbo, because my exhaust is way to loud. I was just wondering if there are whats are they?

The HKS Titanium with carbon muffler is pretty quiet. It has a lot to do with the resinator, which doesn't choke it up to a noticeable difference; maybe 2-5 horsepower. It doesn't make much noise until WOT.

like electrixevo said, find an exhaust that comes with a resinator; might also consider running a high flow cat. instead of a test-pipe.

The HKS Ti is one of the loudest exhausts in existence. 2-5 whp is a lot when talking about a cat-back that only gives 10-15whp max with no restrictions.

HKS Ti and Buschur are kind of loud.. I had the Ti and have the Buschur with Hi-Flow cat now. Not sure what was meant by that statement... as for quiet .. Works seems to have a pretty good set-up... I didn't even know it was on there til someone told me..

Greddy Evo2 or SP2. Both designed to pass noise levels in California so you know they'll be quiet.

I went with the B&B catback. Improvement over stock, but not enough to wake the neighbors at night. The muffler looks like a polished version of the stock muffler. Personally I like that, but those who desire the canister style muffler would not be pleased.

I put a Buschur full TB on a guys car with high flow cat and Magnaflow muffler and it was fairly close to stock. On the highway or crusising the deep tone was there but it was nothing like what I have heard with some cars.

On my own car I have the Buschur with the Magnaflow with no cat and at idle with cams you can hardly tell. At WOT it is another story because it flows good, but every exhaust that is good doesn't stand a chance to quiet it down at WOT.

And yes the HKS Ti is one of the loudest exhausts out there.
