I'm close to Tuning Tech. They were the ones who fixed my boost leaks and did the boost leak tests. I found out about my boost leaks when we had the dyno day at their shop. My boost is holding fine now.

I plan on taking my car back there sometime next month for a new clutch, a full tune and dyno. I was just hoping I can figure out why my idle all of a sudden got very lopey before they tune it.

My idle problem started happening 1 week before the dyno day.

This is completely off topic but have you checked the E-Flash thread lately? That's exactly what I'm trying to avoid by not going to out of state tuners. I learned from my mistake.

Please try to refrain from promoting other tuners in my thread. I still think that my idle problem is not current tune or mod related. It's got to be something really simple and stupid.

What about injectors? Do you think fouled injectors can cause this?

I started noticing in the mornings when I first start my car that it starts idling very lopey for the first 10 seconds even at 1200 rpm and then gets smoother or normal. The RPM stays at 1200 until the car warms up and then goes down to 850-900 and starts getting lopey again.

haha...Im trying to help you out man, but hey I guess if an SAFC is what you want- go for it. I had that exact same cold idle issue, but fixed it with guess what? EcuFlash.

And I do appreciate you help. I mentioned that I am considering the ECUFlash as well. And since TTech are now using it as a tuning option, I might just take my car there sooner.

The idle sounds normal for 264 cams. To make it sound slightly less V8'ish, you will have to adjust the base ignition timing, but I am not sure if you can do this without a flash on the Evo.
