Not a bad deal -- it still sucks that you were hit. I had the same thing happen to me about a month ago -- all I got was a note that said "sory" Had to fork out 800 to get everything painted again...argh!

 

you should sue him for the delta 88, with the custom camo paint job its probibly worth about what your door is at least.

 

Well guys... Im done. Well for now. I went and picked up the door from a local salvage yard and it was off a 03' Lancer "base model w/ power" and it was white. And yes i know its not the same white as the evo but to be quite honest i really dont see any difference. Hell even my neighbors have asked if i got it back from the body shop. "the car has been hidden in the garage for the last week so it hasnt been seen until i rolled it out of the garage to check it out under the sun."
So i took a few pics and i thought i would share the experience. The only modification i had to make was i had to change out the window motor. Other than that its a direct bolt up deal. I still would like to adjust the door to fit a little better but for the most part i dont think i can complain. I will prolly let a few days go by before i decide if i am going to have it repainted and blended into the a-pillar, fender, and door.

Yea, it was kinda a PITA but... When i got the insurance check today right after i got the door i noticed that they were kind and not only did they put my name but the body shop's name.. So now i have to figure how im going to get some of this money. Yep, it sucks. But they told me they would just write it out to me. So i figured what the hell spend $300 on a door and give it a shot.

 

I'll try to get some pics up from the day time. In the sun today i couldnt tell a difference. But in my mind i try to find the difference just because i know its not the same door. But i think its just a mental block i may have... but my true thoughts are that the colors look no different.
