Did you research the after-effect of cams at all before you had them installed? They kinda alter the idle ya know...

Without hearing it directly, not sure what to tell you. But if you change the rate of airflow, you're gonna have a different sound to say the least I'd think.

yeah, actually i worded that unclearly, yes i realize u get a lope idle, what i forgot to say is that im talking about WOT, and just getting on it in general, not idle, at WOT, when driving by a wall or something it sounds GUTTURAL best word i can use to describe it, which is different from before....

Cams absolutely alter the sound. I have a magnalfow rear section which was relatively quiet before cams...and now very deep and throaty. My car almost sounds like a big six or a small v8. Hope that helps.

ok so its normal.. yeah it doesnt bother me, i was thinking i popped an exhaust leak or something, but i went over the exhaust, no leaks, no blown gaskets, everything tight, but damn its loud and when u go WOT or just get on it, like by a retaining wall or something, its got that V8, almost subaru like guttural tone.... where as before, it was loud but smooth loud, not guttural loud, u know what i mean?

Guy, the definition of guttural is throaty and harsh sounding. Isn't that what your car sort of sounds like at idle? At WOT it's kind of the same thing...just a lot louder. Unless your hearing a raspier sound than I do...I think what your hearing is normal.

I've noticed since I've put my cams in not only does it lope nicely but, like 15-20 seconds after start up and gets some heat in the cat it gets some loud pops comming out the pipe. It sounds pretty damn cool.

It's like blurp,blurp,blurp,blurp,POP,POP,crack,blurp,blurp, blurp,POP,blurp,POP,crack,blurp,blurp....

WOT throttle is definitely louder as well.
