because when it gets on he track it is very hard to clean up. witch i think is a load of crap anyway. its not grease dam. i think you should be able to run whatever you want. water, 50/50/ ,or strait antifreeze.

 

Actually water is superior for a straight race car - but the main reason why they dont want you to run anti freeze is is becuase of the difficulty to clean it up.

My problem of course is I dont like seeing rust inside my block and risk having my block crack in the winter from freezing

In fact I think the reason why i am having all these freeze out plug problems is becuase when my car was out at the SEMA show in NV last Novemer it came back on a trailer through the high moutains in CO in early December and I think it froze up like a block of ice as it had nearly all water in it at that point - just a theory.

I have my trophies for the first three TT Mitsubishi Days here in my house

So I think this one which is now posponed to Oct 14 is the 4th

 

it was a great time, i was the only bone stock evo there i think, seemed like my times were right along or in some cases better than people with mods. ill be there in october modded, i just wanted to see what i could do stock

i got 2 passes with crappy 60's, i did not want to launch hard on this stock clutch

1st pass was 14.1
2nd pass was 14.0
i did see people running 15's

fun time till the monsoon came

 

Awww, that aint right. You should've let the wife drive. I think she could've got in the 13s. Anyway, I didn't even attempt to go down. It was looking like bad weather all morning. Can't wait for Evo vs. WRX day though.

I ran a robust 13.9

I missed 3rd gear on that run and my 60 foot time was pretty bad.

I need to practice with the Exedy clutch and get familiar with the launch control.

Oh well.....

I'll practice on Wednesday nights.

BTW Al I saw you on-loading your car onto the trailer after your run; did you cut out a piece of the botttom bumper, because I swear there wasn't much clearance.

yea my best run was 14.06. but it was my first time at the 1/4 mile. i have a TBE and open filter.

i need some more seat time.

al nah they were 15 second evos running

 

i was a red evo but not in the 15's

was it me or did there seem to be more red evos there, than any other color
and also only like 4 srt-4's

 

I defintely noticed a lot of RR Evos for some odd reason.

A lot of GG as well.

Not that many white ones though.
