Removing orange reflector from Headlights

Removing orange reflector from Headlights

anyone know if it is possible to remove the orange plate from the headlamp units?

err, probably is seeing that the japanese headlights dont have the amber on top, they have it on the bottom -

if it is inside the headlight and removeable- the all you gotta do is
take off the bumper
take off the lights
remove any vital parts that arent heat resistant
bake the lights for like 5 minutes at 250
pry the lens from the backhousing
remove any amber pieces or in my case, paint some of the chrome black and add more amber

im gonna paint my evo lights like how i did my Si lights - got rid of a lot of chrome with flat black and added some amber

heres a pic of the factory light and the finshed product-

The evo headlights are like $1,100.00 each - (one of mine broke - the hight adjustment part luckily they warranted it) so i would really be nervous to bake them in an oven !
