Hold off on tune b4 I get this part?
Is a new O2 Housing worth a tune reschedule? It won't get here by tomorrow which is when I'm supposed to be in the shop. I realize major parts like cams would and something minor like a dropin wouldn't. I don't think it should matter, but want to make sure. Just want to maximize my gains...
It isn't important that it doesn't affect the tune. The point is that you can make more power with it when tuned for it than without the tune. Putting it on after a tune won't be detrimental in anyway, but it's definitely better to be custom tuned with it already on the car in order to get all the power out of it.
It depends on how easy it is to access a proper tune. I mean if you were going to a local shop to have it done then screw it ....reschedule. But if it is something like Al is coming out to your area, then the part can wait. Its gonna be a #ell of a job to get the o2 housing on anyway so you might as well enjoy the car before you **** yourself off. My 2 cents
